Heading presently "Vaidic Darshan", Faculty of Sanskrit Vidya Dharma Vigyan, at the prestigious Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Prof. Rajaram Shukla is a highly qualified scholar of Nyaya (Logic) and Vedanta (Upanishads). He has been a teacher for more than two decades, and has been guiding many students in their research work. He was Director of the Research Institute at the Sampurnanda Sanskrit University, Varanasi for eight years. He held the position of Principal Investigator, Major Research Projects at the University Grants Commission (UGC), India. He guided many projects around the country in different universities, edited numerous works in Sanskrit (literature, philosophy, logic etc.) and has been a resource person with many esteemed bodies. He was a delegate from India at the 13th World Sanskrit Conference 2006 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Much recognition and many awards came to him from many quarters, of which mention may be made of "Badarayana Samman" from the President of India in the year 2002. He is presently the chief editor of PRATIPITSA, an international research journal.
